Agent · Runs at 8:25 every morning

Daily Intake

Every morning, three agents make me an AI news digest, break down two startups, and explain the day’s top five research papers. Everything is waiting in my Obsidian vault when I wake up.

How it works

8:25, before I’m up. Three agents, in order.

Why I built it

I wanted to stay up to date with AI but had no idea how. There were too many newsletters, papers, startups, and posts to follow, and I couldn’t tell what was important or even true. I didn’t want to spend hours every day scrolling through Twitter and checking a dozen different sources, so I built one place where everything I cared about would come to me.

What it does

  • The news digest pulls from newsletters I personally chose, combines repeated stories, and checks claims against their original sources.
  • It picks two interesting startups each day, researches how they work, and tells me their stories using verified numbers.
  • It reads the top five daily Hugging Face papers and explains what each one did, how it works, and why it matters.
  • Everything is saved as a dated Obsidian note, ready for me when I wake up.

Use it if you’re deeply interested in a topic but don’t want to spend every morning figuring out what to read.

Daily Intake was the personal system that eventually led me to build Plean. I still use both: Daily Intake follows the same fixed AI sources every morning, while Plean decides what I should learn next across everything I’m interested in.
